VS10-Series High-Volume Valveless Metering Pump

Servo-driven milliliter dispensing for high-flow production applications

The VS10-Series is a Zaxis eVmP valveless metering pump for milliliter-scale dispensing and continuous metering. Its V6SAN-W milliliter head combines a large fill volume with a valve-less piston design, while the VMP-OEM-VS10 servo-driven drive supplies the speed and control needed for demanding high-flow dispensing applications.

The VS10-Series dispenses 6 L/min at 600 RPM and can dispense nearly 10 mL per stroke. The V6SAN-W head is paired with the VMP-OEM-VS10 drive, which operates at up to 600 RPM depending on viscosity. This combination suits applications that require substantial volume per cycle without moving away from controlled positive-displacement metering.

Fluid-contact materials for the V6SAN-W include medical-grade alumina-oxide ceramic and 316 stainless steel, with customization available. The pump head also uses 316 stainless steel and PTFE wetted parts and can be supplied with tri-clamp or sanitary fittings, optional wash glands, and numerous fitting configurations for application-specific fluid paths.

The VMP-OEM-VS10 supports continuous metering, single or multiple dispense, flow dispense, flow direction and suck-back operating types. It stores up to 50 programs and provides RS485 in half- or full-duplex modes with optional EtherNet/IP. Zaxis has made electronic metering pumps for more than 25 years for automation production lines that require repeatable fluid handling.

Why Choose the VS10-Series for High-Volume Dispensing?

The VS10-Series brings a large-displacement milliliter pump head and a specialty servo drive together for applications where output volume, speed and controlled operation all matter. The V6SAN-W head offers one of the largest fill volumes per stroke and metering rates in the Zaxis milliliter range, while the VMP-OEM-VS10 accepts the head as a complete pump system.

A valve-less piston design avoids external supply and discharge valves. The V6SAN-W uses ceramic, 316 stainless steel and PTFE in its wetted path, and its optional sanitary details help configure a fluid path for the process at hand. The head is rated for -20˚C to 70˚C, non-condensing operation, supporting a broad operating environment across configured production setups. On the drive side, the servo platform makes it possible to select continuous, dispense and flow-oriented operating modes from one controller.

How the VS10-Series Metering Pump Dispenses

The eVmP family uses a rotating and reciprocating valve-less ceramic piston. Its fluid cycle relies on the piston rather than external supply and discharge valves, giving the pump a compact positive-displacement path for repeated liquid handling.

1

Aspirate

The piston draws fluid into the pump head through the available inlet path.

2

Rotate and Seal

The piston rotates to seal the inlet as the valveless ceramic-piston mechanism changes position.

3

Dispense

The piston moves to deliver the metered liquid through the discharge path.

4

Repeat

The drive repeats the programmed cycle for continuous metering, single or multiple dispense, flow dispense, flow direction or suck-back operation.

Compare the
eVmP Range

The eVmP family covers several dispensing ranges and configurations. Choose the VS10-Series when a milliliter application benefits from a V6SAN-W head, servo-driven control, nearly 10 mL per stroke and 6 L/min at 600 RPM capacity. The M Series addresses microliter dispensing, while the V Series is another milliliter valveless metering option; enclosure models package eVmP pumps for benchtop or dual-pump applications.
